  We in the UK are dealing with COVID all wrong

  yeah, so boris johnson has plunged the whole of the uk back into a second lockdown.

  kids are still going to school (thank goodness!

  ) but this second lockdown is ruining the economy and killing small businesses.. the first lockdown was forgivable because, at the time, nobody knew what we were dealing with.. but now, we know more and more about covid-19.. it is lethal to elderly people (the average age of deaths with covid in the uk is 82 years - the average age of deaths without covid in the uk is 81 years).. it is also lethal to obese people and people with diabetes.. i'd imagine hiv+ people are another vulnerable group.. but to everyone else, catching covid is fairly similar to catching the flu.

  So..to recap watchtower teachings.

  If sutcliffe had never got the jw message....and recently died..he will get a resurrection..right ?

  But sutcliffe did get the message..and got baptised..and recently died..so he will get a resurrection..right ?

  Either way..he will get to meet his victims when they too are resurrected. I wonder if they will forgive him ?

  It begs the question..why become a jw ?

  On the other hand..if he had carried on living a bit longer..but not become a jw..he would be killed at armageddon..right ?

  Collapse of JW Org - Possibly on the Horizon?

  this topics get a great deal of discussion here.

  what i find interesting is even some of my pimi family is embracing the reality that all is not well with jw.org and that many current jws are just going through the motions due to not having a good way out of the org.

  wondering what could realistically lead to the collapse of jw.org in the not distant future?

  I doubt if anyone under 40 knows anything about the jw cult. Most of that age and under have no interest in any religion.

  Who knows..maybe the guvbod will have a rethink..and go for a re-make of the whole shebang.

  Quietly lose the no blood doctrine..up to the individual conscience..with no repercussion.

  Re think shunning..along the lines of shunning those who still attend while openly practicing sinful practices, not causing family splits when a family members decides the religion is no longer of interest to them...for now.

  Do a lot more highly visible good works of benefit to the whole community...totally rethink the public perception.

  Maybe there will be real growth..with new members who like what the watchtower does and want to be part of it. Not through fear but rather through real love.

  Understanding a family member that’s A witness

  i need some advise or understanding.. my brother became jehovah witness because of his wife.

  our dad is dying and over the last two months he’s done some very weird stuff.. my family knows he’s not a real witness because he sells corn liquor and pills, drinks daily, let us have our moms birthday at their house.

  he’s also committed adultery, it’s rumored that he molested our cousin when he was younger, done fraud to my dying dad, lied about being our dads poa for greed only to find out he’s not, lied to the family about his estranged daughters, called his oldest daughter a b*tch because she doesn’t want anything to do with him, lied on our dads life to her to get her to talk to him, he has the name nympho tattooed on his neck, has slandered his immediate family and abandoned two of his daughters for over 20 years to start a family with his new wife.
